What I Eat in A Day #1 ‘Healthy Day’

I love ‘What I Eat in a Day’ videos on YouTube and so I thought I would start my own ‘What I Eat in a Day’ blog series. I find what people eat so fascinating and as a foodie I’m really hoping to take my blog in a new direction filled with healthy (and occasionally not so healthy) food ideas for you all to eat!

What I Eat In A Day#1

So this edition is what I call a ‘healthy day’, this would be what I would typically eat during the week on a working day. I have a very active working day so I try to eat things that are going to give me plenty of energy and not make me feel sluggish or hungry. Fruit and vegetables are a huge part of what I eat mainly for the reason that I feel on the ball and able to keep going all day when I eat them in abundance!

I always make time for breakfast and it usually suppresses my hunger enough until lunch time. However sometimes I do need a mid-morning snack which is usually some fruit. I always have fruit with my breakfast, so in this instance I had 2 weetabix with raspberries, bananas and blueberries. This is proper brain food and really gets my day off to a good start!

Lunch

So for lunch I want something filling that is slow release in energy to get me through the afternoon before dinner (believe me, I live for meal times). So I chose cous cous, I like the Ainsley Harriet Spice Sensation. It’s quick easy and tasty and I just like to add some green beans for a bit more bulk and texture. This is surprisingly filling and it’s rare I’ll finish the whole bowl.

Dinner

This is one of my go-to dinners, I eat it all the time and I love it. Turkey stir fry. I find turkey just as good as chicken plus it’s cheaper and has slightly less fat than chicken. I usually put spring onions, peppers, courgette, mushrooms and some mixed frozen vegetables in it and add a stir fry sauce plus plenty of spices! If you’d like to find out exactly how I made this then you can check out last weeks recipe post: Healthy Turkey Stir Fry Recipe

So there we have it my first ‘What I Eat in a Day’ I hope you found this interesting and maybe gave you a few ideas for simple healthy, yet filling meals. I have lots of ideas for food related posts in the future so if you’re into food and healthy eating, watch this space!

See  you next week

This is a great post, I watch a lot of YouTubers who seem to either not show everything they really eat in a day, or restrict their amounts massively to seem like they eat less! Neither of those are healthy and restrictive eating is NOT a good thing to encourage, so it’s great to see a real, honest post! Your turkey stir fry looks so yummy as well x

This food looks super healthy! I used to have weetabix every day but now I have porridge as it just keeps me going for so much longer 🙂
